Ethics Commissions of the Faculty

Upon a separate request from the Faculty of Law, if it becomes necessary for an ethics committee to review a project of the Faculty of Law, an ad hoc committee shall be established in accordance with § 10(8)(u) of the SFU Statutes.

The (research) ethics commission is responsible for ethical issues of research projects as a review body. It checks BEFORE the start of the research project whether it meets the requirements of research ethics, including the Declaration of Helsinki.
